South Carolina has been home for AnneMarie since 2001. Her favorite part of the state is Lake Jocassee. An App State alumna, it's always the mountains; the lake bonus makes it heavenly. They say never say never. But really … you just wouldn’t imagine finding some of the best food in certain places you pass by or drive up to. In fact, we’d bet you drive right by the most unassuming places fairly regularly without realizing what culinary delights are found within! Let’s take a look at such a place we’ve discovered, where some of the best pizza in South Carolina is found inside an old brick building on the main street of a small town.
Located at the corner of Highway 3 and Main Street, Russell's Pizza of Blackville is found inside what used to be the Dodge Motor Company building owned by Stanley Brown in the mid-1900s.
The windows on each side of the doors to enter the building had garage doors that opened up so the cars in the showroom could be easily seen. You can still see where the letters spelling "Brown" and "Company" were on the building facade.
Russell's does have additional locations in the small towns of Williston and Wagener, so if you're closer to those locations you'll still find the same wonderful food, just not in the cool, old building!
