One of the best parts about living in the Peach State is the option to explore a variety of landscapes: the mountains, the coast, and every square mile in between. The following is a list of hidden places in Georgia that some locals may have never even heard of. These destinations are truly beautiful and marvelous to see. You’ll definitely want to plan a trip to see each and every one of them.
Here is the beautiful Tallulah River at the bottom of Talluah Gorge. This river is over 47 miles long and begins in Clay County, North Carolina. Visit this majestic oak tree which is located on the corner of Crawford St. and Monroe St. in Thomasville, Georgia. This tree is one of the first to be registered with the Live Oak Society, and is one of the largest oak trees east of the Mississippi River. It's no mystery why this massive oak tree is one of the most impressive destinations in Georgia.
This major Georgian river is one of the few rivers located entirely within one state. That's right, this river is all of Georgia's to claim! It's 470 miles long and flows out through Brunswick, Georgia into the Atlantic Ocean. Plus, there's even a mythical creature associated with the Altamaha River.

4. Noah's Ark Rehabilitation Center

Learn the story of Martha Berry and Berry College at this historic house and museum. Martha was the founder of Berry College and the museum features an art gallery and temporary exhibitions. You could easily spend an entire day exploring all that the town of Rome has to offer.
