Rome, Georgia has a history extending thousands of years, back to when Native Americans settled the land.

European Americans founded the city in 1834, creating a cultural epicenter for the state of Georgia.

Today, Rome is a bustling and beautiful city that often gets overlooked as being a vacation destination.

Yet, with all the unique hidden gem spots and the historical presence, we cannot seem to understand why.

Rome, Georgia has a classic charm to it, that you cannot find anywhere else.

Guests can spend the day visiting the Martha Berry Museum, a beautiful historical spot showcasing the founder of Berry College, Martha Berry.

Or take a peak at the clock tower, built in 1871 and now features a museum and over 100 steps spiraling to the top.

Broad Street is a true gem of the area, where visitors can explore the shops and stores that line the street.

With a rich history throughout the Civil War and beyond, there are plenty of statues and monuments erected to honor the city.

There aren’t too many cities that can combine natural beauty, deep historical roots, and Southern charm quite like Rome, Georgia.
