The Cowboy Coaster is planted along the side of Snow King Mountain in the heart of Jackson Hole. This recreational mountain was founded in 1939 as the first ski area in the state.

Riders load the coaster at the base of the platform. The carts, designed like bobsleds, are propelled along the track to the top of the ride by a cable.

The track snakes 456 feet up the mountain. The track rises up to 43 feet off the ground in some areas.

From the top, the coaster descends and is gravity-driven down the 3,295 foot track which runs for almost a mile. The track consists of 4 circles and 6 bridges.

The coaster can go as fast as 25 mph. You can take an exhilarating ride or use the hand brake to slow it down to a more leisurely pace.

Drivers must be between 54"- 84". Passengers must be at least 38" tall.

The coaster winds its way through the forest of Snow King Mountain. If you can peel your eyes off the track, the views of the Tetons, the valley and the town of Jackson are breathtaking.

The Summer Cowboy Coaster transforms into the Winter Cowboy Coaster. Riding the Cowboy Coaster through the snow puts a completely different spin on things.
