Have you ever wanted to see a beautiful waterfall, but the lines and crowds in our busy national parks discouraged you? If you’re up for a long and brutal hike, you can discover one of the most hidden cascades in the whole state. Not too many people have made this difficult, but rewarding, hike!
Way out in Bighorn National Forest there's a waterfall deep in the woods that's one of the most hidden in all of Wyoming.
The 15-mile out-and-back trail starts off as an ATV road, but the wildflowers and wildlife you see along the way will make you forget you're following any sort of road at all.
There are fascinating sights along the way, including the abandoned campsite shown below. What do you think the earliest campers thought of this gorgeous scenery?
