In the summertime, thousands of tourists flood our national parks and state parks every weekend. It makes it hard to find a quiet getaway here in the Cowboy State! If you’re on the lookout for an underrated park in Wyoming where you’ll be able to avoid the crowds, head to Moorcroft and visit Keyhole State Park.

There are five boat ramps and four docks on the water. Fish for drum, catfish, crappie, walleye and enormous northern pike from a boat, or from the shoreline.
You'll find more than four miles of trail worth exploring in this underrated Wyoming park. The marina trail is paved and perfect for a family stroll, and the park forest trail is a little more challenging and perfect for an outdoor workout.
You might fall in love with Keyhole State Park and never want to leave. Luckily, in addition to the campgrounds in the park, you can stay in a cabin, or even a treehouse!
