Our official nickname is "The Equality State", but most Wyomingites refer to their home as the Cowboy State. With so much open range, cattle farming is a way of life out here.
Our stunning signature mountains were first made famous by Ansel Adams, and since then, they are among the most photographed in the world.

Wyoming is home to several legendary Oregon Trail landmarks, like Fort Laramie, Independence Rock, and South Pass. The Emigrant Trails that helped settle the west were successful thanks to the geologic features and kind people of Wyoming.

Yellowstone was the world's first National Park, and it is one of the most unbelievable places on earth. The bright colors of hot pots and springs, the breathtaking sight of geysers, the stunning beauty of the mountains... no place on earth can even come close.

Oh, that Wyoming wind! While we curse it, we're secretly thankful for it. If this state had better weather, we'd surely lose it to tourists and outsiders. Wyoming's wind is its protection from development, and for that we are grateful.
