When you’re looking for things to do in Wyoming, sometimes you can get stuck seeing all the same suggestions. Yes, we’ve seen Old Faithful. And yup, we’ve walked around Devils Tower. Check out a few other suggestions for ways to spend your Wyoming summer that will help you mix it up a bit this year.
1. Plan an overnight hike to Lost Twin Lakes.
This is a fairly easy hike, and you can do it in one day, but those in the know take their time and make camp by the lakes. These gorgeous turquoise lakes are the perfect backdrop to a summer backpacking trip.

Afton, Wyoming is mostly famous for their giant antler arch, but if you wander outside of town, you'll stumble upon this incredible "breathing" spring. It runs as a full-flow waterfall for part of the hour, and then shuts down to a dry riverbed for the next. This odd phenomenon has to be seen to be believed.

10. Experience history up close at Independence Rock.
This landmark was huge for settlers moving along the Oregon and Mormon Trails. If they made it by the 4th of July, they could celebrate! It meant that they would likely avoid snowpack in the mountains. Today, you can see thousands of names carved into the rock from settlers that made their way west.
