Wyoming is full of fascinating towns, but perhaps none is as amazing as Thermopolis. The largest town in Hot Springs County is home to just under 3,000 people, and it might just be the best town in Wyoming! From a charming downtown to record-setting hot springs, to the state’s premier dinosaur museum, there’s something for everyone here!
Thermopolis is one of Wyoming's best little towns. Located right next to the world's largest mineral hot spring, it's no wonder this has become a hot destination!
Thermopolis is also know for being the center of Wyoming's paleontology community. It's only a few miles from active dig sites, and home to the Wyoming Dinosaur Center.
Of course, the mineral hot springs are a big part of life in Thermopolis! Visit the Tepee Fountain, which was made by piping hot mineral water up in the air, and letting it leave sediment in the unqiue shape.
From the swinging bridge in the park, you'll be able to enjoy the sight of mineral terraces as you look out on this gorgeous, unforgettable Wyoming landscape.
