It can be hard to find a short, scenic trail if you find yourself hoping to get outside on a warm day. Many of our parks and forests are overrun with tourists who clog up trails and create traffic jams. Fortunately, there’s one relatively tourist-free trail that offers remarkable views and a short, easy mountain adventure.
If you're looking for a quiet and serene Wyoming hike, head to the Sheep Bridge Trail near Grand Targhee, in Targhee National Forest. It's a little tricky to find, but it's worth the effort.
This 2 mile out-and-back trail will take you through a variety of landscapes, and the mountain meadows you cross are full of beautiful and colorful wildflowers. It is magical in spring and summer!
Take some time to hang out on the bridge and watch the water. When the creek is high, the raging water is deafening. It truly shows the power of Mother Nature!
As you continue down the trail, peek over the horizon to catch a glimpse at the Grand Tetons. Few people get to see our signature mountain range from behind.
This easy little trail is one of the best hikes in the area. You can enjoy getting in touch with Wyoming without fighting crowds or embarking on a multi-day trek.
