Everyone talks about hidden gems in Wyoming – like secret alpine lakes, mountain summits accessible by bushwhacking, and waterfalls that don’t appear on topo maps. While most of the time these hidden gems are far from the cities, we recently stumbled upon something wonderful and beautiful tucked away in the most unexpected location. Bitter Creek Bark Park is a state-of-the-art dog park packed with amenities and it’s tucked so far out of sight that it’s impressive anyone knows it’s here.
You'll find Bitter Creek Bark Park in Rock Springs, on a dead-end side road off I-80. It's behind the Alberton's and Cafe Rio - seriously - and surrounded by the standard I-80 industrial fare.
No matter the weather, pooches can run off their energy! Snow sure tires them out, but once it's melted, there is plenty of grass, some sand for rolling, and even a paved walking path for you dog moms and dads.
Bring your dogs to come swim at their very own beach and run around this gorgeous city park. They'll come home tired, and you'll be so happy that you made their day!
