Wyoming may not have theme parks or enormous, crowded waterparks, but did you know you can find a natural waterslide in Wyoming? Head to the Wind River Range near Lander to find an exciting adventure that’s perfect for a hot and sunny day.
The Popo Agie Falls trail is about six miles outside of Lander, near Sinks Canyon State Park.
The trail is pretty rocky, so trekking poles and hiking boots are recommended. Carry bear spray, too - after all, this is Wyoming, and you don't want an encounter with a bear to ruin anyone's day.
Trying out the Popo Agie Falls is a rite of passage for anyone who grows up in the Wind River Range, and tackling it as an adult is just as fun as when we were kids.
Despite the chilly water, by the time you climb on out, you'll be smiling ear to ear. There's nothing like sliding down this natural waterfall in Wyoming.
Check out a trail map, directions, and more information on the Popo Agie Falls trail here. This natural waterslide in Wyoming is one of the best places to go during the short, hot summer here in the Cowboy State.
