The Oldest Lunch Counter In Wyoming Will Take You On A Trip Down Memory Lane

Jackson Drug and Original Soda Fountain has had a special place in the hearts of Jackson residents and visitors alike. It first opened just about 100 years ago in 1919.

In 1937, the soda fountain and lunch counter was moved to its current location on the northwest corner of the Town Square. It’s a solid-looking building that seems perfect for this retro establishment.

Jackson Drug offers everything you’d expect from a lunch counter and general store. You can belly up to the counter for a delicious meal, hand-poured milkshake, or sparkling soda. The store also offers odds and ends like toiletries and gifts. The menu here is surprisingly big, so don’t be shy about asking the staff for guidance.

Jackson Drug actually closed its doors in 2001, but the family of the original owner repurchased the vacant shop and reopened it to the public in 2018. Now, you can stop in for a delicious taste of the past.
