When it comes to stunning views, there’s no state quite like Wyoming. After all, nearly every road we travel shows off some beautiful scenery! There are quite a few hikes in the state that are worth taking if you love the idea of unique scenery, and the trail up Mount Washburn will make you feel like you’re on top of the world.
The trail from Dunraven Pass to the top of Mount Washburn is one of the most incredible trails in Yellowstone National Park.
Look around - this is a view you'll never forget. It's often windy up here, but there's an enclosed lookout tower, so you can enjoy the view for as long as you want no matter what the weather is like.
From Canyon, you can find the trailhead by driving approximately 4.8 miles north on the Grand Loop Road heading toward Dunraven Pass and Tower Fall. The trailhead is located on the right at the top of Dunraven Pass, and the hike will take you 6.8 miles, out and back. Here’s a trail map from AllTrails.
