Wyoming is one of the best destinations in the world for hikers. People travel from every corner of the globe to hike in the Rocky Mountains, and we’re lucky to have such easy access to incredible trails. Plan out a trip along the Mistymoon Trail this year and see the most famous Cloud Peak Wilderness hike for yourself.
When it comes to breathtaking scenery and bucket-list worthy hikes, Wyoming's Cloud Peak Wilderness is hard to top.
Heading out into the wilderness can be intimidating, but as long as you're prepared and have a plan, you're sure to find this hike rewarding and worth the effort.
Many people turn this moderate Cloud Peak Wilderness hike into a backpacking trip, and others decide to hike in and hike out. Mistymoon Trail will accommodate both styles.
You can find a trekking guide to the Mistymoon Trail on AllTrails, here. While there are backcountry ranger stations in the area, hiking into the wilderness is safest if you hike in groups of three or more. Bring bear spray and be sure to let someone know your plans and when to expect you home!
