Despite its small population, Wyoming is home to some mighty delicious restaurants. And while many of these restaurants focus on our favorite food — you guessed it, steak — there are a handful of unique restaurants in the Cowboy State that offer a little something different. This scrumptious mom and pop restaurant serves some of our favorite east coast comfort foods, including the pierogis you’ll find for miles and miles.
Welcome to Miazga’s, a casual, welcoming, and homey restaurant that opened less than a year ago in the heart of Jackson, Wyoming.
As soon as you walk inside, you'll feel at home in the cozy, inviting space. Warm wood tones and a casual atmosphere combine to create your new favorite dining destination.
Founded by a sibling duo from upstate New York, Miazga’s finds inspiration in the family bakery, which was nestled within a large Polish community. If you’re looking for something a little different, order either the kielbasa or the pierogi plate.
Pierogies were a staple at the New York bakery started by their grandparents, and have since found their way to this wonderfully authentic Wyoming restaurant.
With origins in central and eastern Europe, pierogies are filled dumplings made by wrapping unleavened dough around a savory or sweet filling and either pan-frying or cooking in boiled water. If you’ve never had one, now’s your chance, but be warned: you’ll be hooked after just one bite.
Other comfort food favorites include spaghetti and red gravy, fettuccine alfredo, cheesesteaks, and meatball subs. No matter what you order, you’ll leave feeling full, happy, and endlessly satisfied.
Just don't forget to save room for dessert. The homemade cannoli is sure to satisfy your sweet tooth, but their eclairs and pies are petty scrumptious, too.
