You'll find the town about 45 minutes southeast of Rawlins, or an hour and a half west of Laramie.
Despite being not too far from some of Wyoming's bigger towns, Saratoga maintains the true "middle of nowhere" feel.

There's plenty of space to stretch out, land is relatively affordable, and the drivers rarely have any car traffic to deal with.

The lack of car traffic doesn't mean that the roads are always clear, though... as you probably know, winters in southeastern Wyoming can be brutal. Anyone living way out in Saratoga has to develop a bit of a talent for homesteading, as it's not all unheard of to be snowed in for days at a time!

Saratoga's main claim to fame is that the "hobo hot springs" of the North Platte River can be found right here.

Without a doubt, these riverside pools are the best free hot springs in Wyoming. There's also a public bath house and developed hot spring pool that's open to the public 24/7 and completely free.

In our opinion, that alone is almost enough reason to want to relocate to Saratoga, Wyoming!
If you ever feel like you've been spending too much time alone and off the grid, the town does offer a luxurious, historic hotel and restaurant.

If you're looking to really get away from it all, it's hard to top Saratoga, Wyoming. This remote town is sure to welcome you with open arms, and you'll find all the solitude you could possibly want in the open fields and rocky highlands.
