Drive In Restaurants may seem like a thing of the past, when carhops would bring burgers, fries and shakes out to hungry families looking for a treat. Throughout Wyoming, though, you can still find these portals to the past in and around our small, rural towns. One of the best burger joints in the state is hiding in a Drive-In in the Star Valley, and it’s legendary.
JACZ Drive In is located in the small town of Thayne, Wyoming.
The restaurant offers several specialty burgers, including the Big Jacz, which is topped with all the fixings, mac and cheese, bacon, and a gigantic onion ring.
The reuben burger is a new take on a classic sandwich! Topped with pastrami, sauerkraut, grilled onions, creamy horseradish, and Swiss cheese... does it get any better than that?
The challenge is simple... devour three layers of pulled pork, bacon, and cheese between three 1/3lb beef patties, topped with an onion ring and a fried egg. Then, finish a heaping portion of French fries...and wash it down with a big, old fashioned, root beer float.
