Here is a historic hotel where a newlywed couple once stayed. The bride caught her husband with a prostitute. She shot and killed them and then went back to her room and shot herself. It is said that Rosie, the bride, is seen wandering the 2nd floor in a blue gown. The hotel is located at 1600 Central Avenue, Cheyenne, WY, 82001.

The Irma Hotel was built by William F. "Buffalo Bill" Cody and named after his daughter, Irma. Staff members and guests have experienced ghostly encounters. The rocking chair in room 16, which just happens to be Irma's old room, rocks on its own. Room #35, pictured above, has a lot of paranormal activity too. A ghostly man has been seen in this room wearing a confederate uniform. Irma Hotel is located at 1192 Sheridan Avenue, Cody, WY, 82414.

The Occidental Hotel, a former bordella, was established in the late 1880s. The daughter of a prostitute died on the upper floor. The ghost of the daughter has been seen often. She has long dark hair and wears a white dress. Guests have felt her tapping them on their shoulder and have seen her moving furniture and luggage. Strange lights have also been seen on the upper floor. Strange voices and laughter have also been heard. Occidental Hotel is located at 10 North Main Street, Buffalo, WY, 82834.

You probably won't get much sleep here at the Virginian Hotel. Supposedly, there is a lot of paranormal activity that takes place here and lasts all through the night. If you're in the Yellowstone area, check out Old Faithful Inn. Just don't plan on it being a very peaceful night. Visitors have experienced moving objects, doors opening and closing by themselves, and apparitions have been spotted. Historic Hotel Greybull was initially built in 1914 as a bank and then later converted into a hotel and speakeasy in 1927. The bank vault and underground tunnels still exist. The Higgins Hotel was built in 1916 as a railroad hotel. Three ghostly apparitions roam the halls. One is thought to be a former housekeeper known as Edith. One of the others is thought to be the wife of a former owner, Josephine, who died in an auto accident. She is often seen on the stairs and in the dining room. Another strange occurrence is that a man's face often shows up in photos that are placed around the hotel. The Historic Higgins Hotel is located at 416 West Birch Street, Glenrock, WY, 82637.

What is the most haunted place in Wyoming?

There are lots of haunted spots in the Cowboy State, but one that truly stands out is Heart Mountain Relocation Center. The Center was once the site of unspeakable horrors during World War II, when Americans were interred in concentration camps based on their ethnicity. Today, the grounds have been turned into an Interpretive Center where visitors can learn about the dark side of Wyoming history. Along with stories of the past, though, you might encounter an unsettled spirit that roams the halls ensuring that anyone who visits Heart Mountain is reminded of the discomfort and tragedy the captives experienced.

Are there any ghost towns in Wyoming?

There are dozens of ghost towns in Wyoming, all remnants of the state's mining and settling past. In Kirwin, an avalanche forced the population away from the town in a hurry, and you can still visit some of the ruined homes today. Gebo, a quiet spot in Hot Springs County, is home to ruins of a former pioneer town, including their allegedly haunted cemetery. If you want to learn more about life before the ghost towns busted, visit South Pass City, where you can tour an old ghost town village and then head to dine at the Miner's Grubsteak in the next town over, Atlantic City.

This historic spot in town is closed permanently now, but for years, it was noted as one of the most haunted spots in the Cowboy State.
