Winter in Wyoming is one of the most beautiful seasons, and there are so many unique ways to explore the Cowboy State when the snow starts to fall. Plan a trip to the country’s first National Park to see the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone in winter and you’ll have an unforgettable adventure.
Yellowstone National Park is one of the most breathtaking and remarkable places in the world - and it's even more magical under a blanket of snow.
Most Wyomingites are used to seeing the country's largest wilderness ecosystem in the summer months, but in the winter, Yellowstone comes to life with natural wonders.
The park is only open to oversnow traffic from Mid-December through March, so you'll have to join a planned expedition, or apply for snowmobile access.
