Wyoming is full of incredible natural wonders, and you can spot something new everywhere you look. One underrated attractions is the historic Fossil Butte in Lincoln County. This prehistoric butte is full of fossils from the days when dinosaurs walked the earth.
There's one enormous roadside rock that will certainly catch your eye as you travel through Lincoln County, Wyoming
This impressive geologic feature was once part of a large lake, now referred to as Fossil Lake. Fossil Butte was what remained when the lake dried up over millions of years.
After just one visit, you'll find your mind racing back to a time when dinosaurs walked through Wyoming and prehistoric fish swam around in Wyoming's fossil lake.
