One of the most famous restaurants in Cheyenne is the Albany, which as been run by the same family since the 1940s.
When the building was completed in 1905, it was originally the Hotel Becker. The hotel's restaurant was called Le Barron's, and it brought travelers and diners in from afar. When it changed hands, it was renamed The Hotel Albany. From there, the restaurant shifted from The Depot Exchange Cafe, to the Kabis Cafe, and to the Stockman's Bar. By 1942, the current owners had taken control, and a Wyoming dynasty had begun.
Step inside and you'll be taken back in time to a day when small, family owned restaurants dominated the dining scene.
You'll feel like you're part of the family as soon as you take a seat. It doesn't matter if you're a regular, or if this is your first meal here, because everyone is treated with the same care at the Albany.
