There’s no shortage of gorgeous trails to explore in Wyoming, and there’s a trail for hikers of all ages and abilities here in the Cowboy State. If you’re looking for a short, sweet, easy hike that’s perfect for just about everyone, you’ll want to head to Devil’s Tower National Monument.
Devil's Tower National Monument is a natural wonder located in northeastern Wyoming. The huge rock formation stands 867 feet tall, and you'll want to explore the Devil's Tower Trail to get close to it.
You'll make your way through a quiet, ponderosa pine forest. Enjoy the wonderful smells of pine and watch for wildlife here. You might catch sight of squirrels, rabbits, and birds along the way.
Devil's Tower is a sacred place for Native Americans, and you may see prayer flags tied to tree branches along the trail. Please be respectful and leave these little tokens alone.
The views along the trail are magnificent - make sure you bring your camera along. While this trail can get quite busy on weekend afternoons, it's relatively quiet if you arrive early in the morning on a weekday.
