Downtown Cody is a relic of the past, with old-fashioned mom and pop shops dominating Sheridan Street.

The most famous building in town is the Irma Hotel, built by Buffalo Bill.
This world-class collection includes interpretive displays about the wildlife of Wyoming, as well as the history of Plains Indians, Buffalo Bill's story, and information on the history of firearms.
