Back in the day, Cheyenne was one of the most popular destinations in the West. Vacationers, travelers, businessmen and prospectors all traveled through the city and many of them passed through the grand Cheyenne Union Pacific Depot. One hailed as the most impressive train station beyond the Mississippi River, it still retains its historic charm today.
The beautiful and historic Cheyenne Train Depot is one of Wyoming's most recognizable landmarks, and a visit should be on every Wyomingite's bucket list.
Construction of the largest and most impressive train depot in the West began in 1887, and it served as a hallmark station for over a century. In 1993, the building was donated to the Cheyenne Depot Museum.
Today, the Depot opens its doors to train enthusiasts looking to take a look back in time. After your tour, head over to the Accomplice Beer Company for a delicious meal.
When you visit the Cheyenne Depot Museum, you can get a glimpse of the Wild West and enjoy a fantastic meal. This might just be the best destination in the city!
