Buffalo is a city in Johnson County located in northern Wyoming. The town is made up of 4.46 square miles and is home to over 4,500 residents.
It's tucked away between the expansive rolling plains and the towering Bighorn Mountain peaks. Here, you'll find wide open spaces, plenty of nearby outdoor recreational opportunities and beautiful scenery.

Part of the town's charm comes from the western hospitality found at The Historic Occidental Hotel which was originally built in 1880. Some of the guests from the past that frequented here are Butch Cassidy, Teddy Roosevelt and Calamity Jane.
Another feature of The Historic Occidental Hotel is the Virginian Restaurant. The restaurant is named after Owen Wister's novel, "The Virginian".
