When you’re from Wyoming, you know that life is different out here. It’s unlike any other place on Earth, and we can really brag about the things that make this state so incredible. People who haven’t visited still think Wyoming is a barren wasteland, but those of us who call this our home know that could not be farther from the truth. Check out a short list of what makes Wyoming the most impressive state in America.
1. We're home to the best parks in the entire world.
Yellowstone was the world's first National Park, and Grand Teton is among the most visited in the country. Not only are our National Parks absolutely, jawdroppingly impressive, but our state parks are full of true wilderness that you can't find anywhere else.
Even in the winter, there's no place I'd rather be .

Part of Wyoming are as ecologically diverse as the Serengeti. From Wolves, to Bison, to Coyote, Elk, Moose and more, the wildlife spotting in Wyoming is a true safari.
3. The history of Wyoming is the history of the West.
Wyoming was the wild west, where outlaws and cowboys settled the land, blazed trails, and risked it all for a better life. Wyoming is home to several of the most significant landmarks along the Oregon Trail, like the Lander Cutoff, South Pass, and Independence Rock.
4. We aren't afraid of hard work - rather, we thrive on it.
You won't find any Wyomingites complaining about a long day's work. Getting our boots dirty and putting effort into our chosen crafts is part of life out here, particularly on the open range.
5. There's stunning scenery everywhere you look.
Almost every windshield view in Wyoming can take your breath away. Even if you're stuck in the sagebrush for a few hours, chance are you're just a short trek away from a scene that looks like paradise.

7. And we're never tethered to technology.
You can't be glued to your iPhone when you don't have service, even at your house! We aren't glued to technology like so many other Americans because our cell phone towers are spotty, our Satellite internet connections are slow, and we just haven't gotten addicted to the endless scrolling.
8. Wyoming's steaks are the best you'll ever try.
Wyoming beef is amazing, and it's easy to find a delicious steak here. Nearly every saloon makes a great prime rib, and if you do a little digging, you can find the best steak you'll ever try. If you need an idea of where to start, I've got to recommend
Svilar's Steak House and Bar in the tiny town of Hudson.
9. Our wild rivers are perfect for fly fishing.
Wyoming might be the fly fishing capital of the Rockies! Wild rivers like the Encampment River are absolutely perfect for casting flies and catching world-class trout.
10. You never know what you'll find in our small towns, but you can rest assured it'll be something unique.
Whether you're looking for a strange antler arch, an intermittent spring, a haunted hotel, or a town with a population of 1, you'll find it in Wyoming. Expect the unexpected out here in the Equality State, and even then, you'll often be pleasantly surprised.
