Wyoming is a cold state, and those of us who live here have accepted that we get a few short beautiful summer months, and the rest of the year is hoodie weather at best. Next time you’re complaining about the temperature outside, though, be thankful that you don’t live in the coldest town in Wyoming!
Bondurant is a tiny community with fewer than 100 year-round residents, and it's notorious for being bitterly cold.
Today, the Canyon is populated by Wyomingites who love living off the beaten path, and appreciate the simple ranch town life, no matter how cold it gets at night.
In a state that's known for brutal winters, Bondurant is the coldest town. From December through February, the average temperature hovers around 10.7 degrees, making one of the coldest places in America.
Locals gather in St. Hubert the Hunter Church to catch up on town news just as much as they do to worship, and the church has become a landmark in the town center.
