Hiking through Wyoming is the best way to spend your time. You get to see wildlife, relax to the sounds of nature, and even sit by the side of a roaring cascade. Keep reading below to discover the Bighorn National Forest hike that takes you right to the base of Porcupine Falls.
The trail to Porcupine Falls is one of the most highly rated in the Bighorn Mountains, and if you've never made the trek, plan a trip this year.
The trail is typically well maintained, with a stone and wood staircase that leads you right to your destination. (Just keep in mind that on the way back out, you'll being climbing up out of the canyon for quite a long distance.)
Once you make it down to the pool, you'll be in love. The emerald green water is perfect for wading; although, like many Wyoming ponds, it is very cold most of the year.
