The second waterfall along the Yellowstone River is Crystal Falls. Tumbling down 129 feet, it's taller than the upper falls, though it's a not quite as forceful. Crystal Falls is actually an outfall from Cascade Creek, feeding into the Yellowstone River right there in the canyon.

The last waterfall in the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone is certainly not the least beautiful. Plunging more than 300 feet, the Lower Falls of the Yellowstone in Wyoming is not only the tallest in the canyon, but is the tallest in all of Yellowstone National Park — it's even over twice as tall as Niagara Falls!

There are several vantage points throughout the canyon where you can get a good look at all of the falls individually. Viewing platforms have been constructed at the Upper and Lower Falls, and Crystal Falls is visible just east of the Uncle Tom area on the South Rim Trail.
