Just north of Green Bay, near Suamico and in the Brown County Reforestation Camp, the Northeastern Wisconsin Zoo — known as the NEW Zoo in Wisconsin — is a unique, family-friendly destination. Part zoo, part adventure park, this awesome attraction has a bit of something for everyone located in a truly gorgeous and unique area.

The zoo is open year-round and the adventure park is open seasonally starting in April.

The zoo is just one of seven in the country that receives no funding from property taxes. It's entirely privately supported.

And the NEW Zoo in Wisconsin has big plans for the future. They're always working on projects to better connect the zoo and adventure park, to expand the animal experiences at the zoo, and take better advantage of their location to make the NEW Zoo a year-round destination.

Long-term plans to add camping and cross-country skiing, are one of their goals. The plan is long term and fully dependent on funding. One of the first plans is to expand the adventure park.
The zoo is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. until April 1, when they'll extend their hours until 6 p.m.

During the summer -- June, July and August -- they're open even longer hours. Admission is free for Children 2 and under, $6 for children ages 3 to 15, $9 for ages 16 and up and $6 for seniors (62+).
There's so much to see and do at the NEW Zoo, even in the colder months.
