If you’re in Madison, you may have passed by or even gotten your morning fix at the amazing Porter coffee shop. Located in a converted train depot, it’s a gorgeous little spot with tons of character. But did you know that on weekend nights, this spot transforms into a unique, exclusive supper club?

Porter is this gorgeous, charming spot tucked away in an old train depot. Lots of local folks wondered what would happen to the building and Porter has taken over as the perfect coffee cafe.
But what makes this spot so very awesome is that on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, Porter transforms after hours into an exclusive dining experience.

There are spots for just 15 people at each sitting. The meals are sometimes collaborations with chefs from local restaurants. and other times the brainchild of Chef Gilbert Altschul of Grampa's Pizzeria. For $50, diners are treated to a five-course feast.

The menu is set and posted on Mondays and reservations open. Then, you get to wait until the end of the week to anticipate your wonderful meal. The food is fresh and inventive and the whole thing is a super exclusive experience.
Chefs are at their best when they are allowed freedom to play and create in the kitchen. These meals often allow local chefs to break out of whatever constraints their current job has and do something completely different — but still delicious.
