We are so spoiled here in Wisconsin with the wide variety of delicious restaurants. From fancy farm-to-table to local diners and delis, you can get a wonderful meal anywhere in the state, for any budget. We’ve featured some pretty amazing spots recently and we think these are the places in Wisconsin you just really have to try this year. Consider it your 2018 to-do list. In no particular order, here are 13 Wisconsin restaurants we really think you should make it a priority to visit this year:
1. Fraboni's Deli - Madison
This third-generation family-owned shop has a few locations in the Madison area where you can stock up on imported Italian groceries and walk out with a mouth-watering sandwich the size of your head.

2. Belfrē Kitchen - Delafield
What was once a Presbyterian church built 150 years ago has housed a great many Delafield businesses. Now, it’s the delectable Belfrē Kitchen and you have to plan a visit.

3. BP's Smokehouse - Tomah
The middle part of Wisconsin certainly isn't a spot well known for great BBQ, but the folks who own BP's used to compete in national BBQ competitions.

4. Rushing Waters - Palmyra
Rushing Waters has been farming trout in spring-fed waters since the 1940s. They sit on 80 acres with 56 ponds and those deep springs help keep the ponds cool – ideal for growing trout. The smokehouse located right on site and the restaurant serving the very freshest of fish make this a spectacular place to visit year round.

5. Al Corso - Collins
About midway between Appleton and Manitowoc is Collins Marsh, a 4,200 acre wetland. And right next door is Al Corso Restaurant. The restaurant is located right on the edge of Collins Marsh. Sitting outside on any given day is not only a peaceful retreat, but lets you see pretty much every migratory bird in the country at some point in the year.

6. Vino in the Valley - Maiden Rock
This unique spot has an amazing location and takes incredible advantage of their 360 degree views. Open May through December, the vineyard offers its own wines, of course, but also a casual, gorgeous atmosphere in which to enjoy a delicious meal.

7. J & J's BBQ - Nelson
Way up in the northwest part of Wisconsin, along the Mississippi River about midway between the Twin Cities and LaCrosse, tiny Nelson, Wisconsin is hiding one of the best kept secrets in the state. With fall-off-the-bone ribs featuring a mix of wet and dry rub, meat smoked a minimum of four hours and a wide array of options, you’ll wonder why you’ve never made it a point to stop in Nelson.

8. The Waterfront - La Crosse
Delicious all year long, The Waterfront shines in warm weather, when their amazing patio can be enjoyed to the fullest. With Mississippi River views and a food and wine list to make you start drooling, a meal here is absolutely one that should be on your bucket list.

9. Rookery Pub - Cable
Up North Wisconsin is rarely synonymous with fine dining, but at the Rookery Pub in Cable, they’re serving up farm-to-table goodness smack dab in the middle of the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest.

10. NorthStar Farmstead - Hayward
You’ve never had a meal fresher than the one you can get at North Star Farmstead in Hayward. This is farm-to-table in its most literal form – and in just a matter of steps.
They produce so much on site here. There's farm-fresh produce that you get to enjoy on site, but can also buy from them at local farmers markets. A state-of-the-art aquaponics system nourishes and begets fresh produce year-round while also growing delicious tilapia. Pasture-raised poultry, sheep, and hogs. Milk, honey, eggs and incredible, house-made gelato are just some of the other specialties here.

11. Ishnala Supper Club - Lake Delton
The word Ishnala means "by itself alone." It comes from a language used by the Winnebago Indians. This stunning spot is everything you could want in a Wisconsin Supper Club tied together with the most breathtaking dinner view in the state.

13. The Classic Garage - Eau Claire
The Classic Garage is the brainchild of Texas transplants and business investors who have taken what used to be a service station and reimagined it as a great restaurant. Today, it serves as both a restaurant and Cadillac showroom. It's a totally fun and unique spot.
