Right near the middle of the state, about 30 miles west of Fond du Lac, Green Lake is a nearly 8000 acre lake that’s deep, clear and truly gorgeous. A bit away from any city, but not really in an area that folks flock to for lake access, this lake offers some great lake life living without a drive up north. Tucked in just off Dartford Bay on the north east side of the lake is Norton’s, a delightful restaurant serving the area since 1948. With stunning lake views, a wonderful outdoor area and truly delicious food, this is one of those hidden gems you just can’t wait to try.
Please note, Norton’s of Green Lake is temporarily closed.
Norton's of Green Lake has the vibe of a supper club, but is even more laid back. The meals here are fine-dining quality, but the atmosphere is super relaxed.
That combo means that while the food is elevated, the dress code is not. You'll find all kinds here, from romantic dates to folks who just didn't want to cook that night.
In warmer months, the yard becomes a casual place to relax with a drink and friends. There's a tiki bar on weekends and various lawn games might break out.
And you can enjoy it in your shorts and sandals. Norton's is casual and welcoming while still providing the white tablecloth treatment. The staff provides impeccable service.
There's just really nothing like the mix of casual and top notch dining that you'll find at Norton's. On their own, the view, the food, the service and the atmosphere would each be reason enough to recommend this place. Put them all together and you've got an unforgettable dining experience you'll want to have again and again.
