In the southeast part of the state, south of Fond du Lac but north of West Bend, Sunbust Ski Area is just waiting for you to explore. But don’t worry if you’re like me and not at all comfortable on skis. Sunburst is actually one of the top ten tubing parks in the country. They say they’re the world’s largest tubing parks, and with 45 tubing lanes and accolades as one of the most epic tubing hills in the world, it’s easy to believe.
Sunburst is a great hill within driving distance of a bunch of different Wisconsin metro areas.
For the next ten days or so, they are open 9:30 a.m. until 9:30 p.m., except on Christmas Eve, when they are open 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. They're closed Christmas Day, but these hours last until January 2nd. After that, they are open Sunday, Monday, Friday and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Friday through Mondays (and holidays), $18 gets you a two hour session on the hills. During the week, $18 will get you unlimited tubing while they are open (5.5 hours).
Tubing at Sunburst's giant hill has been called one of the best tubing destinations by USA Today. There's a reason folks flock here to take advantage of the awesome hill.
