Here in Wisconsin, we have our fair share of spots that have unusual happenings and if you’re up for it, an overnight stay there could be one of the spookiest nights of your life.
1. Karsten Hotel —
Kewaunee
This hotel has been operating for more than 150 years and the main ghost here is said to be quite friendly. William Karsten, Sr. only really upsets people when he's having a bad day, but otherwise encounters with him are quite pleasant. Located at 122 Ellis St, Kewaunee, WI 54216.
2. Hotel Chequamegon — Ashland
A paranormal research group recorded voices and noises here and had some of their equipment inexplicably stop working. Located at 101 Lake Shore Dr. W, Ashland, WI 54806.
3. Brumder Mansion Bed and Breakfast — Milwaukee
This B&B has a long history that includes ties to Al Capone and years as a speakeasy. Folks say the ghosts here are more mischievous than scary — moving things around, making silly noises and more. Located at 3046 W Wisconsin Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53208.
4. Union Hotel — De Pere
Wisconsin's oldest continually running hotel has a ghostly bartender that likes to still serve guests and has had the lights turn on and off with no one near the controls. Located at 200 N Broadway St, De Pere, WI 54115.
5. Old Baraboo Inn — Baraboo
Another building that's been in use for more than a century in one way or another, the ghosts here like to open doors, turn off the lights and move things around. The folks here embrace their ghostly past and go on hunts for the spirits often.

6. The Pfister Hotel —MIlwaukee
Arguably Milwaukee's nicest hotel, the Pfister is where MLB teams visiting the Brewers stay and it has a league-wide reputation for otherworldly activity — so much so that some players have left their room to sleep in the lobby or gone to another hotel down the street. 7. Big River Inn — Genoa
This spot used to welcome those who worked along the river and guests report a spirit that likes to turn the tv on and off. Located at 501 Water St, Genoa, WI 54632.
8. Astor House Bed & Breakfast — Green Bay
Built by John Jacob Astor and then owned by the Bellin family, it's said Dr. Julius Bellin is often seen out and about the house early in the morning. Located at 637 S Monroe Ave, Green Bay, WI 54301.

From voices in the barn to objects inexplicably moving around and a woman's apparition disappearing into the floor where a staircase once stood, the owners say they just can't ignore all the happenings here. Located at 140 River St, Belleville, WI 53508.
10. The American Club —
Kohler
Though it's quite fancy now, the American Club was built to house immigrants 100 years ago. There are stories of a woman so overcome after her husband died in a construction accident that she killed herself and now her spirit lives on. Others say they think they've seen her husband, just waiting for his wife.

11. Hotel Retlaw — Fond du Lac
A former owner of this location is said to have been murdered on site and guests report hearing screaming and calls for help, as well as water faucets being turned on and off. Located at 1 N Main St, Fond du Lac, WI 54935
