What do you do when you’re feeling like royalty, but those around you just don’t quite see the crown? Treat yourself to a whimsical afternoon having high-tea, of course! The Legacy House Imports Tea Room is a gorgeous spot offering a traditional English afternoon tea tray for your royal highness! You’ll feel like you stepped out of a storybook — or maybe Windsor Palace!
The Legacy Tea Room, located in Madison, is housed in a Cape Cod style home offering visitors the opportunity to enjoy an afternoon feeling a little more fancy than usual.
The house was built in 1941 by Olaf Lien and it has been owned by the Lien family ever since.
Marsha Lien, Olaf's daughter, grew up in this house and now owns and operates the tea room with her husband, Patrick. You can feel the family legacy through and through!
The tea shop specializes in foods and gifts from around the world, but have a special fondness for Europe, Scandinavia, and the British Isles. From cultural to historical information, visitors can ask them just about anything and know that the answer is coming from well-researched information.
It features four tea sandwiches on the first level, a scone and tea bread with homemade toppings on the middle level and four dainty desserts made fresh each day in the shop on the top.
