The restaurant was founded back in 1991 by a veteran in the restaurant industry named George Liapis. When he was young and woking at a diner back in the 1950s, he was given the nickname of Georgie Porgie. The name followed him and eventually it became the perfect name for his restaurant.
People don’t come back again and again just for the fun atmosphere though. The menu is loaded with delicious and towering burgers and sandwiches. The restaurant uses Wisconsin-fresh ingredients whenever possible. If you choose a burger, go with a pretzel bun!
Whatever you do at Georgie Porgie's, save room for dessert. The custard is made fresh daily from locally-sourced milk and eggs. A simple cone is sublime, but the sundaes are out of this world!
