Next time you need to run some errands, put a trip to The Garage on your list. This fun and unusual establishment is a new arrival to the Wausau area and it doesn’t do oil changes, brake jobs, or muffler work – but it will get your weekend all tuned up. Here’s why you need to park yourself in The Garage.
The Garage is located in Rib Mountain. It’s a short distance south of downtown Wausau and it’s just off Highway 51 so it makes for an easy pit stop.
While the bar might not be able to help diagnose a check engine light, it can help quench your thirst. It has a big beer list and it also serves some creative cocktails.
The bar is filled with auto shop décor, including an old car and motorcycle and look up to see license plates. You’ll want to step inside to take a look around but there’s also an expansive outdoor patio so you can park yourself outside on nice days.
The Garage is open daily. While it doesn’t have a full food menu, it can keep you fueled with some popcorn and chips and plans are in the works to bring in food trucks.
