Lake Mills is a city in Jefferson County with a population of 6,200. It’s an old town, officially chartered in 1836 - years before Wisconsin was a state.

There’s plenty to do in this little town. It’s popular with antiquers and it has some great local restaurants that have a variety of tempting offerings.

But on warm days, the star attraction is the lake. Rock Lake played a big role in the early days of Lake Mills – in the 1800s there was a sawmill and grist mill that used the lake’s water for power.
