In the driftless area of Wisconsin, nestled among steeply chiseled bluffs, is the town of Gays Mills. This town is known for its apples, but you will also be charmed by its open meadows and glassy creeks.
Located along the Great River Road, Lynxville is just off of one of the wildest stretches of the Mississippi. But that's the craziest thing going on here. It's a small town with really nice people. In fall and spring, people are very interested in watching for various waterfowl.

This town is home to one of the world's largest earthen dams after the town was severely flooded. Thank goodness the water dissipated, because the town is home to caves and sandy beaches. It is also a great spot for fishing.
