Interstate Falls - not to be confused with Interstate State Park in Polk County - is a scenic waterfall located near the city of Hurley in Iron County, Wisconsin. It’s a popular Northwoods vacation escape.
Iron County is a place to connect with nature, and there are many streams, rivers, and lakes. Interstate Falls can be found on the Montreal River, which forms part of the border between Wisconsin and Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The waterfall is located in a beautiful area of hemlock forest.
The falls is right on the state line, but it’s best viewed on the Wisconsin side. The falls consists of a series of cascades and drops along the Montreal River.
The falls have a total drop of about 25 feet, and the rushing water, rock formations, and surrounding forest make it a beautiful destination for nature lovers and photographers.
