In the rush of today, there are times when it’s worth pulling over to savor a view. In Marinette County, there’s a scenic Wisconsin overlook that offers a gorgeous view of the surrounding forest. The spot is in a little town that you might not have heard of, and it’s the perfect excuse to take a drive into the beauty of Northeast Wisconsin. Here’s what you need to know about this scenic spot.
Wausaukee, is a pleasant village nestled in northeastern Wisconsin with a serene small-town vibe, and it offers a unique blend of natural beauty, outdoor recreation, and community charm.
The surrounding forests offer hiking trails, ATV routes, hunting grounds, waterfalls and more – there’s a lot here for adventurers or those who enjoy the thrill of exploration.
But you don’t have to head into the woods or down a long ATV trail to find some spectacular Wisconsin beauty. In fact, you don’t have to leave your car.
Just head to the Scenic Overlook. It’s a little pull-off spot on US Highway 141, just a little north of Wausaukee. The Highway runs from Green Bay north into Michigan,. This Marinette County spot is well worth a visit.
And then, you can take a long moment to savor a wild view that fortunately was protected.
I’ve spend a lot of time on the road in Wisconsin, and I visit a lot of nice places, but Marinette County is one of my favorite spots. The county has it all – waterfalls, wild rivers, miles of Lake Michigan shoreline, vast forests ,and one great scenic Wisconsin overlook. When you’re ready to explore, get your trail hiking supplies at REI, and here are some must-see Wisconsin attractions.
