Ever been to a restaurant with a menu so big it’s overwhelming? Well, that’s definitely not the case at Paul’s Pel’meni. In fact, with only one item on the menu — dumplings — it’s the exact opposite. The single-item menu doesn’t just make ordering easy, though. It’s also given the eatery plenty of time to perfect its signature dish, which consistently receives rave reviews. Take a look:
Paul’s Pel’meni can be found on Gilman Street in Madison. Though it’s only been at its present location since 2017, owner Paul Schwoerer began selling his dumplings back in 2003.
A change from its last spot, the eatery’s new locale is bigger, has outside seating, and includes a bar, which means you can order your favorite drink to wash down the tasty dumplings Paul’s is known for.
To really tantalize your taste buds, order your pel’meni with “the works,” which means they’ll be topped with a tasty blend of butter, yellow curry, cilantro, sweet chili sauce, and sour cream.
There’s one more choice you’ll have to make when ordering dumplings, and that’s what size order to get. Choose between a half order, which includes 20 dumplings, or a full order, which includes 30.
