When planning a night out on the town, Olbrich Botanical Gardens probably doesn’t come to mind. However, that’s likely to change once you learn about Cocktails in the Conservatory. During the adults-only event, Olbrich’s tropical conservatory is transformed into the ultimate night spot – complete with cocktails and music by local DJs.
Located in Madison, Olbrich Botanical Gardens boasts 16 acres of display gardens.
Basically a huge glass pyramid, the conservatory houses an array of tropical plants. But that's not all. There's also a flowing waterfall and blooming orchids.
And while the conservatory is a stunning sight any time, it looks especially lovely at Cocktails in the Conservatory, when set aglow by a myriad of colorful lights.
The only thing that could make the glowing tropical surroundings better is having your favorite cocktail in hand. Luckily, that’s totally doable since several bar stations are set-up around the conservatory during the event.
Though the dates of Cocktails in the Conservatory vary, it always starts at 7 p.m. and ends at 11 p.m. Keep in mind that when the conservatory reaches max capacity, no one will be admitted in until others leave, so a wait is possible.
Don’t forget; Cocktails in the Conservatory is usually held on the last Friday of the month; however, that can change. It’s always a good idea to check the Olbrich Botanical Gardens Calendar of Events for up-to-date information. You can also call Olbrich Botanical Gardens at (608) 246-4550.
This isn’t the only daytime attraction that’s also a nighttime must visit. Read about another here.
