Sometimes, it’s worth spending a little time offline. In far southwest Wisconsin, an incredible little supper club serves up a classic dining experience without an internet marketing campaign. There are no TikTok influencers hired to plug this restaurant or even an active website, for that matter – the food simply speaks for itself. Welcome to Red’s Supper Club, a wonderful Wisconsin restaurant that will take you back to simpler, tastier times.
Red’s Supper club is located in the heart of the rich farmland of far southwestern Wisconsin. It’s located on a rural highway that’s south of Belmont, between Platteville and Cuba City.
The restaurant is the kind of place that modern reproduction throwback spots imitate. But this is the real deal, with décor and a menu that are perfect just the way they are.
As in any proper supper club, you’ll want to start your visit with a drink at the bar – an Old Fashioned may be in order. The only question: do you want to order your cocktail sweet or sour? Enjoy every sip, but the real reason you came here is being prepared in the kitchen.
There are a lot of other classic supper club offerings on the menu as well. Enjoyed fried cheese curds, fried walleye, and if you’re lucky, the restaurant will be serving fried frogs' legs!
Red’s has banquet facilities, so if you’re looking for a spot for a gathering, this could be it. The space also holds some delicious special events, like an Easter buffet that’s loaded with goodness.
While Red’s Supper Club doesn’t have a website, you can find some information on its Facebook page. While you’re in the area, you may want to visit the forgotten ghost town that almost became the state capital.
