There’s no shortage of things to do in Door County. There are tons of great shops and restaurants, soft sand beaches, huge state parks, theater and music venues, and more. But there’s one vacation property that may cause you to do a little less exploring. The rental is on an expansive property near Fish Creek, and it really has it all, including private walking trails. Here’s a look at a house that offers the ultimate relaxing Door County getaway.
Fish Creek is a Door County village that’s absolutely charming. It’s tucked right on a little bay filled with sailboats and clapboard shops that hold all kinds of unique treasures. Unfortunately, the word is out on this town and on some summer days, it can become packed wish tourists. Highway 42 can even have a bit of a traffic jam! It might have you dreaming of a place a little more tranquil.
You don’t need to fight the crowds to have a great time in Door County. Just head to the Orchard Ranch, a pleasant home that’s located a five-minute drive to everything Fish Creek has to offer.
If you can pry yourself away, Orchard Ranch is a short drive from some of Door County’s top attractions. It’s less than 10 minutes from Peninsula State Park, about two minutes from the popular Lautenbach's Orchard, and only a couple minutes from downtown Egg Harbor.
But you may never want to leave this charming cottage! It sits on a tranquil three acres. There are private trails right in the backyard, as well as a campfire area, a patio, hammocks, and more.
If you happen to hit some of Door County’s infamous cool weather and need to head indoors, you’ll find the home cozy and comfortable. The living room has oversized couches, a television, a fireplace, and an area that’s perfect for playing cards. No one will judge you if you save the cherry picking for another trip!
