It’s becoming more widely known that Milwaukee is the most underrated city in the U.S., but some people still don’t give our little city credit for all of the monumental things going on in Brew City. You might not have heard yet, but let us tell you how Milwaukee quietly became the unofficial capital of these 10 awesome things.
As home to the history of many large brewing companies—Miller, Schlitz, Pabst—Milwaukee is truly the beer capital of the nation. With our German heritage and the Great Lake providing great water to brew even better beer, Milwaukee has unanimously always been the star of the beer world.
Somehow, one beer, in particular, has stood out above the rest. While Pabst has a long history in Milwaukee, the beautiful red, white, and blue can has gained a following stronger than ever. Though the city was built upon the work of several notable brewers, you’ll usually find Milwaukeeans reaching for a PBR no matter what. It's a classic.

It's common knowledge that Wisconsin is the Dairy Land, but with Milwaukee’s food culture rapidly expanding, we’ve perfected our dairy roots! If you're looking for a cheese plate, creamery, or a burger topped with the finest aged cheeses, Milwaukee is the place to be.

We might be less proud of this one, but it's true. Milwaukee only has two seasons: winter and construction, although the odds are there will be construction in winter too.
Milwaukee is unofficially named the "City of Festivals" and no city in the country can top that. Our summers are filled with festivals every week, and this isn't even counting the endless community street fairs. Besides hosting dozens of major ethnic and cultural festivals, we’re home to the largest music festival in the world.
