Milwaukee has tons of great dining opportunities, but every year we look forward to the dining awards from OnMilwaukee . Take a look at the publication’s choice for Best New Restaurant for 2017:
FreshFin Poké opened in January 2017, and it was an immediate hit with Milwaukee residents.
The first store is located at 1806 E. North Avenue, and it was so popular that the owners opened a second store at 316 N. Milwaukee Street.
The restaurant offers fast seafood meals prepared fresh, right in front of you. If you're looking for a fast, delicious, and healthy lunch or dinner, this is the place to go.
The menu mainly consists of poké bowls - a wonderful mix of fish (or chicken or vegetable), served over greens or rice alongside various delicious vegetables and spices.
Signature Bowls include: Mango Tango, Spicy Tuna, Curry Coconut Shrimp, Cilantro Chicken, and Zen Bowl. Each has a different array of flavors.
The best part? You can construct a bowl exactly to fit your own preferences.
The Build Your Own Bowl is the perfect way to design your favorite meal. Start with a protein (choose from a variety of fish, shrimp or chicken. Or, go vegan with shiitake mushrooms, sweet potato or avocado). Then add white or brown rice, or mixed greens. Top it all off with your choice of 10 different vegetables and other topping, such as crispy garlic, toasted coconut, or pickled ginger.
For a small extra charge, you can even add a scoop of crab salad or Wakame seafood salad.
As you can imagine, this place gets really busy during lunch hour.
Luckily, you can call your order in ahead of time, or
place your order on their website . They'll have your order ready to go when you arrive, and you'll have plenty of time to eat before you have to go back to the grind.
Milwaukee residents love FreshFin Poké so much that it's opening a third restaurant this spring!
