There’s a toy store in Wisconsin that brings a smile to everyone’s face. The Smiley Barn is a toy and candy wonderland that’s unlike any other in Wisconsin – it’s filled with incredible variety of toys and candy and it’s a must-visit spot for fun lovers of all ages. Ready to have a great time? Here’s what you need to know about the Smiley Barn.
This classic toy store is located in Delafield, a Waukesha County town of about 7,000 people. Today, Waukesha is one of the state’s most populous counties, but for years it was a largely rural county that was filled with farms.
On Interstate 94, there’s a can't-miss reminder of the area’s farming legacy. A big yellow barn with a smily face greets thousands of passing drivers every day.
The smiling barn has been a fixture here for a very long time. It was first installed in the late '70s/early '80s to advertise a furniture store. But new products have since rolled into the barn.
The shop has a quirky mixture of rustic and retro charm – it’s filled with a ton of unique items you won’t find in any big box store. The barn is over 100 years old and has two floors filled with merchandise.
The store’s selection of toys, games, candy, and puzzles is incredible. You can even test out some of the merchandise – there are demo tables that let customers have some in-store fun.
The store’s friendly staff is incredibly helpful; they are happy to help you find what you need… or maybe just what you want!
The Smiley Barn is open daily, and you can learn more on the store’s website. Once you’ve experienced the wonder of the Smiley Barn, you may want to take in the wonders of this museum for kids, and kids of heart.
